Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber brown with a beige head. Aroma is hops and sweat. Strange, but attractive. Med + body. Flavor is malty/earth/darkish fruit, a little yeast. Finishes towards dry; earthy; bitterish. Very nice.

Bottle 750ml. corked.Unclear medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, light citrus, moderate yeasty, fruity, pineapples, tropical fruit, spicy, coriander notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, fruity, tropocal fruit, yeasty, spicy notes, pineapple notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20131123]

Bottle. Golden - yellow colour with a white head. Aroma is citrus, coriander, orange, malt, yeast. Flavour is citrus, wheat, coriander, orange, malt, yeast. Easy drinkable nice beer.

Bottle is approximately 3 years old - Batch 65.Aroma is mostly dominated by the spice, but there are also some dark fruit esters and malt notes. Light cinnamon and chili with moderate to moderately heavy allspice; I wish the all spice was more balanced with the other notes. Some raisin and prune with medium dark caramel notes and a light chocolate character. As it warms the chili is more noticeable. Pours a clear brown with hints of ruby highlights and a thick tan head that has really good head retention. Medium lacing with faint legs. Flavor is slightly to moderately sweet with spice again being the dominant characteristic. This time the chocolate notes are a bit more noticeable, but there is still a lot of allspice with lighter amounts of cinnamon and even less of the chili. Medium light dark fruit notes of plum, prune and raisin. Medium dark caramel and toffee notes. Medium low but balanced bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium to medium high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright beer, but I find the allspice to be overpowering and it hides the more delicate spice notes (unless they disappeared due to age). No signs of oxidation, but a slight faded character to the malt. Could use richer chocolate notes.

Bottle, brewed for and purchased at K&L. Just a bit of a slowly developing gusher when opened, and a lot of sticky beer residue on the bottle and cork. Pours hazy blood orange amber with a huge freaking beige head. One of those beers that takes 10 minutes to pour a respectable glass. Head dissipates ever so slowly and leaves nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is dark sugars, citrus - orange for sure, oak, vanilla, bourbon. Flavor is medium sweet, light zesty bitterness that gets a bit off-putting with time, oak, vanilla. Medium body and ultra carbonated - let this one sit for a while or you will not be ably to enjoy it. Decent, not great.

Very light colored pour. Very thin head. Wheat filled flavor with a refreshing sour kick. Strong wheat after taste. Great tasting beer overall.

On 06/18/2011. Somewhat hazy orange body with a medium frothy tan head. Sweet fruit and light caramel aroma. Sweet caramel fruit and light floral flavor. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

750ml bottle pours a hazy gold with some hazy white head. Nose of malt, grass, yeast, mild candy. Flavor is malty, sweet, honey, yeast, grass, some metal. Dry finish.
