Description
Telegraph Brewing Co. was Santa Barbara’s first craft brewery. Brian Thompson founded the Belgian-inspired brewery in 2006.
Early American brewers adapted traditional European brewing techniques to the unique ingredients, climates, and tastes of the New World. At Telegraph Brewing Co., our beers are handcrafted in that same manner at our brewery in Santa Barbara, California. Making use of as many locally grown ingredients as we can, Telegraph's ales embody our philosophy that a local brewery should reflect the traditions of its region. Our goal is to produce uniquely American beer styles that are imbued with a spirit of invention and creativity, but always with a nod toward history.
In 2017 Utah-based Epic Brewing purchased Telegraph.

Bomber from Cap Tap. Pours dark gold with a large foamy/frothy white head. Aroma is tropical and somewhat juicy. Med body. It is fairly dry, has a nice litte bitter bite, and has mixed fruits - citrus/gooseberry? and maybe a touch of spice/grass/floral. That should cover many possibilities. :) Rather light and refreshing. Enough flavor to please me.

Can from CraftShack. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Juicy tropicals waft from the pour. I'll go with mango. Med body or so. Flavor is juicy tropicals - mango and I think citrus. Maybe some guava. Juicily undry. Nicely, moderately hoppy. Bitter. Sort of moderate on everything except the tropical bent.

750ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Slightly pungent, sour-ish, lactic aroma loses some edges with time and developes some fruity aspects, hints of apricot and mirabelle in still tart-ish, minimally citrusy environment, overtones of mild sauerkraut. Taste is tart, fruity, minimally lactic, citrus-inspired hints of (unripe) apricot, mirabelle, peach, some mild sauerkraut. Turns out to be quite mild and harmonious after primary recalcitrancy.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a nice grapefruit and sweet papaya. Flavor is again a very sweet orange with a wee bit of pineapple coming out after the swallow. Sure this has some juicy fruit hops but this is also super sweet with a white sugar after taste. This is passable as as juicy IPA but beware of the headache the next day from the sweetness

Bottled 2016. Thought I had lost this but was just hiding in the beer fridge. Strong strong oak funk nose almost smokey. Great red tart flavor. Smooth and dry.
