Appearance: Opaque deep brown to black with a moderate beige frothy head of good retention. Aroma: Roast & toast, salted peanuts, evanescent green apple, chocolate cookies, butter, dried fruit, distant hop. Taste: Light sweet, light to medium bitter. Roasted, toasted, chocolate, butter cookies, brandy, dried fruit, hop. Hoppy ending. Roast and hops in the aftertaste. Mouth feel: medium to full body, soft carbonation. Bottom line: Decent.

Appearance: cloudy gold with a large off-white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: catty hop, tropical fruit, grapefruit, resin. Taste: light to medium sweet and medium bitter. Fairly fruity. Tropical fruit, melon, grapefruit, sherry. Mouth feel: medium body, soft carbonation. Overall: not bad

--Keg at SBWF. -- Black, beige head. Buttery hazelnut aroma. Very sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Syrup and hazelnut butter in caramel. Low bitterness.

Appearance: Hazy yellow to orange with a moderate white frothy head od good retention. Aroma: Tropical fruit including guava, lychee etc., catty hop, dank, green hop, citrus. Taste: Light sweet, and bitter, fruity, tropical, hoppy. Dank and citrus as well. Mouth feel: Medium body, average to lively carbonation. Summary: Considering it a West Coast IPA it's either a fail or a marketing trick (I wonder why?). Just another NEIPA. Not among best of them.

Tap. Brownish-red, cloudy, like tomato sauce. Aroma: sweet pepper, paprika, very spicy, tomato juice and pickled tomatoes, a little different sauces. Taste: tomato juice, tomato sauce, sweet pepper and chili pepper, lime, etc., pepper and spices, good, warming, very good with meat.
