24-27/10/2023. From cask at the 45th Norwich Beer Festival. Pours close to black with a small bubbly beige head. Good pour. Aroma is chocolate, malt, dark fruits, berries, aniseed, cinnamon, hint of coffee, spicy edge. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness, touch tart. Medium body, oily, light fizz. Fading spicy finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at The Sportsman, Huddersfield. Sampled May 2015. Pours gle gold with a white cap. Aroma: hops, lime zest, light tropical notes. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, tropical fruits - passion fruit & guava. Medium body with soft carbonation.

Fra cask på The Lyric, med Egil: klar kastanjebrun med fint skum som varer helt ned. Maltdrevet aroma og smak med mørke karameller, urter, barskog og engelsk appelsinmarmelade. So smooth.

From cask at The Lyric, near Piccadilly Circus, with Holmen1 09.08.22. Clear mahogany. Fine taste of dark crystal malt, syrup, brittle, roasted nuts, dates and tawny marmalade.Smooth mouthfeel.

Tried at the Derby Winter Beer Festival 2020. Deep amber colour with a thin head. Aroma and taste are sweet malty. Smooth and slightly fruity.

Cask at the Reading Beer Festival. Brown with an off-white head.Light malt and chocolatey roast but a bit dull for the strength.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2018. Clear deep russet colour lasting beige head. Decent malty juicy English strong type ale but i guess more as ESB some peppery hop on the finish. Dryish malt. Decent enough.
