Description
8 Wired is a micro brewing company based in Warkworth, New Zealand.
Our mission is to produce mind blowing beers that will wow craft beer lovers, excite fellow beer geeks and educate the mis-guided who still believe that "beer is just beer". If you want to come on this journey with us, please get in touch.
8 Wired Brewing is inspired by the legendary Kiwi can-do mentality and fellow craft brewers who have dared to challenge the masses and show us all that beer is no longer “just beer”! Known for producing “New world interpretations of old world styles” 8 Wired have multiple shades of very hoppy IPAs, Saisons, Porters and Stouts in their permanent line up and have the biggest barrel aged and sour program in the southern hemisphere.
After 5 years of contract brewing, eventually at 4 different breweries across New Zealand we now finally have our very own brewery (In Warkworth, North of Auckland) where we brew and package everything.

Bottled (from K Supermarket Kampus, Pori). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is big time coffee, roasted malts and some slight vanilla and lactose to it. Flavour is overly roasted coffee overdose, the malts and lactose doesn't manage to balance the super roastiness up. One dimensional and plain boring.

330ml can as part of a delivery from New Zealand Beer Collective and drunk at home. Black with a big loose light brown head. Pine, molasses, dark cooking chocolate and some Coffee and stone fruit in the aroma. Taste is achingly sweet, with lots of muscovado sugar, chocolate and citrus notes, followed by some hoppy bitterness at the end. Full syrupy body, light carbonation. A revelation.

440ml can as part of a delivery from New Zealand Beer Collective and drunk at home. Blacker than black and viscous with a small ring of khaki head. Massive aroma of vanilla-laden caramel, espresso beans and maybe a tiny bit of liquorice. Taste is so, so sweet, like cold oversugared coffee (but still somehow really amazing) and some light toasty bitterness in the finish. Full, full body with light carbonation. Works incredibly well.

Can. Cloudy pale amber with a cm of white head. Aroma of mandarin, pine, Australian pineapple, light biscuit. Light bodied and dryish with more crackery malt than guessed, fruit that starts sweet and gradually leans astringent. Lowish bitterness with some earthy herbs. Odd.
