Rumours of secret recipes, delectable concoctions and legendary flavour not tasted for generations are spreading across the land – the Crafty Little Brewery has opened its doors.
Some say its beer is conjured up by witches, whilst others assert that ale so delicious can only be crafted on a full moon, deep in the forest, by a herd of mythical beasts.
Of course, there are those who claim there is no magic – just a local family of talented master brewers, passionate about fantastic real ale…
For now, the truth remains shrouded in mystery. Whatever its origins, one thing is clear – the beer that leaves the doors of The Crafty Little Brewery is the tastiest found this side of the wall!

26/4/2019. Bottle, sample, courtesy of Danlo, cheers Ed! Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a nice looking but short lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma of butter, grain, hops, spruce, citrus fruit and a hint of berries. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Nice bitterness picking up to finish. Quite pleasant and drinkable.

330ml bottle from Hop & Vine, Hull. Slightly hazy yellow gold colour, large foamy white head leaving lacing and fruity aroma with yeast, pale malt, mellow hops. Taste is tangy, pale malt, grainy, fruity, yeasty funk with some citric zest and hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy finish. Quite OK

Cask sample from Hull Beer & Cider Fest 2019, thanks to Grumbo. Cheers Graham! Golden colour, some bubbles on top and citrusy hoppy aroma. Taste is malt, caramel, grainy, with zesty citrus and hoppy earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

12/4/2019. Cask gravity at the Hull Real Ale & Cider Festival 2019. Pours clear bright gold with a lasting bubbly just off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, vanilla, light tropical fruit, grass and a hint of pine. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Floral vanilla finish with nice lasting bitterness. Enjoyed this.

Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish. Pretty good.

Handpull cask at the Parcel Yard, Leicester. Very dark brown, translucent at the edges, with a small creamy off-white head. Chocolate malt and notes of sweet liquorice in the aroma. Gloriously sweet taste with fruity hop in the finish. Milky coffee, blackberries and liquorice in the aftertaste. Medium oily body, gentle carbonation. Very good.

ABV: 4.5%. Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, ash, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, ash, roasted, dark malt, black currant - blackberry, fruity hops - licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171011]
