Gedeeld met Roelzie en LiekevdV. Het is een troebel bruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van hout, rook en caramel. De smaak is vol moutig, rokerig en zacht fruitig.

Clear dark purple brown beer, creamy dense beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: dried fruits, dates, alcohol, good roast, some chocolate. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: good roast up front, some caramel, dried fruits, chocolate notes, bitter. Aftertaste: more roast, malty, grains, good roast, some alcohol, a little bitter, some dates, a hint of coffee.

Clear gold blond beer, creamy big solid white head, a bit irregular, pretty stable, a little adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, wort, grains, a bit metallic. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty start, pretty metallic bitterness, rusty nails, grassy touch, grains. Aftertaste: malty, cow fodder, dry, a bit sourish, grains, bitter.

500ml ceramic job thanks to my bro & aunt. It pours deep golden - blonde white a thick fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet honeyed grain, ripe melon, poached pear, light vanilla, pear crumble, raisin, sultana, caker malt and biscuit. The taste is fairly crisp, dryish, snappy, pretty fruity, candied white grape, poached pear, melon, apple skin, honey, green, grassy, some grain, some rawness and slap of booze with a warming finish. Medium+ body and average carbonation. A touch rough around the edges, but not bad.

2024 vintage in a classy ceramic bottle. Thanks to my aunt. It pours clear darkest brown with a handsome beige head. The aroma is rich and fruity, raisin, sultana, prune, plum, Eccles cake, toasty sugars, molasses, touch of Bakewell pudding, cherry cola, vanilla and Dr Pepper. The taste is drying, bitter, toasty, charred oak, bitter, rather toothy, chewy, earthy, treacle, molasses, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fig, toasted fruit, fragrant, herbal, spicy, warming booze, bitter toffee, touch of tannin and leathery with a warming and chewy finale. Fulsome body, soft, fluffy carbonation. Rich maltage action. Robust. I quite like it.
