33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is smooth fruity and peachy. Bitter, citrusy and crisp hoppy. Bitter and smooth fruity. Lingering hops fruity and crisp hoppy into the finish.

Bottle @ TSODRBSG13, Ulfborg. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and rather hoppy - tropical fruit. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 310813

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, citrus, flowers, peach, pine, little caramel and malt.

Draught @ The Rover. Pours very hazy brownish amber with a frothy reddish offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving thick sticky lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is very fruity and tiny herbal with peaches, mango, pineapple, passionfruit, papaya, cat piss, bread. alcohol, grass, pine needles, grape juice, lime juice, grapefruit juice, winegums and tropical fruit hard candy. Taste is bitter, malty and fruity with bread, caramel, alcohol, overripe tropical fruits, grapefruit juice, grape juice, grass, pine, winegums, resinous wood and tropical fruit hard candy. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny sticky, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is bitter, malty and fruity with bread, caramel, alcohol, pine, grass, tropical fruit hard candy, grapefruit rinds and lemon zest. Smells nice but taste is kind of a mess composed of boozy bread and overripe tropical fruits. I’m not a brewer but I’ve had several very pale and crisp Nelson single hop beers and I suspect it’s the malt profile that acts up in this brew. I prefer something like this very pale, crisp and dry.

Draught @ Jerntorgets Brygghus. Pours hazy reddish black with a small bubbly beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is malty, herbal, tiny phenolic and tiny fruity with pumpernickel bread, roasted malts, liquorice root, moist grass, pine needles, grapefruit rinds, black pepper corns, lemony soap, apricots, peaches, mango, dark roast coffee and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, malty, slightly fruity, slightly herbal and slightly phenolic with roasted malts, pumpernickel bread, caramel, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, grapefruit juice, liquorice root, black pepper corns, charred wood, grapefruit rinds, moist grass, pine needles, dried apricots, mango, pineapple, resin and hints of smoke. Mouthfeel is round, slightly astringent, slightly soft and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with roasted malts, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, grapefruit juice, lemon balm, grass, pine needles, grapefruit rinds, salty liquorice candy and lemon zest. Smells nice and tastes even better. Close to a perfect easy-drinking BIPA but not all the way there yet...

Bottle @ Ölstugan Tullen. Pours very murky reddish brown with a creamy reddish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some sticky trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with biscuits, caramel, oatmeal cookies, charred wood, alcohol, pine needles, moist grass, moss, moist soil, lemon zest, crackers, alcohol and subtle hints of milk chocolate. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and malty with crackers, biscuits, caramel, oatmeal cookies, freshly cut grass, pine needles, lemon zest, grapefruit rinds, resinous wood, alcohol, bitter chocolate and minerals. Mouthfeel is round, tiny sticky sweet, tiny oily bitter, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, bitter and malty with cookie dough, biscuits, sweet dark bread, pine needles, grapefruit rinds, resinous wood, alcohol and bitter chocolate. Very nice and would be interesting to see how it ages.

Solid stuff!

Gulbrun, uklar i fargen med hvitt lett skum. Lukter godt av humle, mandarin. Frisk sitrus, humle med noe toffee. Lite kullsyre, medium bitterhet som kommer sent.
