About
Oldskool likes to brew beers in a new format. A focus on old beertypes with pure love for the classic & modern hops. This combination will create balanced beers that ought to be enjoyed slowly. At first the focus will be on old beertypes with a love for the German and British hops. The main goal of Oldskool is to educate beerlovers, breweries, pub owners and liquor shop owners with the message that it is possible to brew great quality beer with the right people and the right ingredients. For regular consumers we like to point out there is a lot more out there than a regular Duvel or an artificially sweetened Bockbeer.

Hence all OLDSKOOL beers are brewed: According to the Bayerisch Reinheitsgebot, without any additional sugars/ spices / acid; At a selected Dutch location; Brewed by a different expert every time; With the recipe, enthusiasm and beerlove from one of the youngest International Beersommeliers in the world, Dennis Kort.

Fles geprobeerd met Roelzie. Het is een troebel oranje bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig en zoetig, beetje gistachtig en wat hoppig.

geprobeerd bij vandeoirsprong. Het is een troebel oranjegeel bier met een vol wit schuim. De geur is hoppig en fruitig. De smaak is fruitig en wat bitter.

24.04.2018 -- 0.33l bottle with a psychedelic label from maakun, thanks! bottled 11-2016 bb 25-12-2017. pours a murky orange with a steady head. aroma of apple strudel, vanilla, almonds, slight apricot and melon, nice and complex. flavour of apples, almonds, slight tangerine. had this right after schneider tap5; this one has a lot more apples and is somewhat milder.

33cl bottle. A almost clear deep golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of mild fruity hops, sweet malt, citrus. Taste of sweet grainy malt, citrus, tangerine, yeast and wheat.

Hazy medium amber colour, tall frothy off-white head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma orange, passion fruit, mango, yeast, hay. Mild taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, fruity, light caramel, grassy, spicy notes. Bit sharpish sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy notes. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, smooth operator, good.

Bottle from Secret Santa 2017. Thanks Benzai! Pours dark amber with a foamy off white crown that slowly subsides. Aroma is a curious mix of cedar, citrus and sweaty t-shirt. An odd one but also quite restrained. Taste is mildly sweet up front, hints of spice and yeast, trends tart to sour at the finish. Body is medium, carbonation is restrained. Overall, not bad.

Tried in a bottle from a beer shop in Eindhoven on the train back home. Hazy deep chestnut brown colour. Malty caramel aroma and taste that is mid sweet. Medium to full body.
