Bottle. A hazy dark orange-golden colored beer with a finger thick off-white head. Rather piney, resiny aroma with a touch of orange zest. Some husk and grass. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, pleasant carbonation and a good bitterness. Many session IPA’s lack bitterness I think, not this one. Pine cones orange zest and grapefruit flavors, with some light biscuity malts in the back. Long bitter finish. There’s something homebrewish about this one, but it’s a decent brew anyway. Plus for the bitterness. 170219

500ml bottle, as Spesial ale batch 100, bought at Gulating, Tromsø. Dissipating beige head, clingy lacing, close to clear amber. Discreet herbal hops and earthy malts on the nose. Mixed taste character of apricot and caramel malts followed by leafy hops towards the ending. Rounded mouth feel. Fine with our chicken pie (Tromsø 22.01.2017).

Bottle. A more or less clear one, copper-colored, with a small, off-white head. Quite weak aroma with roasted malts and nuts, some chocolate hints and coffee. It’s medium bodied, dry and softly carbonated. Nuts, bread and some roasted malts in the flavor. Lasting roasted and nutty finish. A decent beer, but too boring I think. 170107

Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and licorice. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with an average licorice and caramel finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
