Pours amber with a pretty much non-existent head.Very faint aroma, just a little clean malt, some soft spicy hops and subtle vegetal notes.Similarly plain flavours, just some vegetal notes and soft spicy hops again.Could use more carbonation.

From a 330ml bottle on 27/12/2010. Has that unmistakable and horrible grainy, stale smell of a macro lager.Taste wise, there is little up front but a metallic sweetness, followed by a reasonably assertive dry bitter finish. A fairly unpleasant, below average premium lager.

Bottle. Clear pale gold with loose white head. A rather vegetably aroma. Light body and carbonation. The flavour starts off with somewhat malty with a bit of tanginess and then collapses completely into a thin finish with a hint of bread. Overall a disappointing and dull beer.

@Local Taphouse. I am very surprised by the ratings of this beer, it is excellent. Pitch black color, creamy light brown head. Liquorice, molasses, roasted coffee in the nose. Smooth, silky mouth where oatmeal is more prominent, dark fruit, molasses and roasted character are more in the background. Great depth for something on nitrogen. Lingering liquorice and oatmeal finish. Yum
