Description
Always challenging and some say 'audacious' in style, our ales are made by hand using high quality floor malted barley and whole hops.
Brewed for the few, from our tiny five barrel plant in the Amber Valley, Derbyshire, we specialise in full-flavoured traditionally styled ale with a modern twist. We brew beer that we like to drink and we have been fortunate to win many accolades for our beer both locally and nationally.

Cask at the 19th Egham Beer Festival. Straw with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma with a touch of spice; soapy in the mouth, with mango and papaya flavours; and a dry finish with a lasting bitterness.

330ml bottle from Real Ale Corner, Brampton - Deep rich black body, thick tan head. Nose is lots of coffee, toasted nuts and burnt treacle. Taste is smooth, coffee, chocolate, a little liquorice and toasted cereal. A little richer on the mouthfeel and this would be a winner.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, 5/6/2014. Amber with a decent, and frothy, off-white head. Biscuity malts, some caramel, hedgerow fruits, leafy hops and a decent, bitter finish. Fine.
