From a 650ml bottle on 18/12/2013. Pours a clear dark golden with a small head. Has a pleasant tropical and stone fruit aroma. Take a sip and you get sweet toasty malt and a lot more sweet tropical and stone fruit, and just enough bitterness to balance things out a bit. Has a medium body and medium to lively carbonation. This is a little on the sweet side and would be improved by a dash more hop zing, but it’s a pretty solid APA.

Bottle. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma of caramel under loads of tropical and citrus fruit - passionfruit, gooseberry, mango, leafy lemon, orange peel. Not a riot of hop aroma, everything plays nicely together. Sweet with caramel just playing a supporting role under the fruity hops. Wished there was less of it. Bitter finish is brief - there’s a burst then it fades rapidly.

(Bottle) Clear pale gold, no head (ironic for a beer called Bighead) and flat looking. Aroma mixes wet cardboard with grainy malt. Light body and lightly fizzy. Taste is rather sour with some slight metallic bitterness. Not good.
