Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, orange, riped fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, riped fruit, dried fruit, grass, hoppy, sweet fruity malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20141209]

Bottle 330ml. [ As Kehrwieder SHIPA Mandarina ].Clear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, orange, mandarin. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, mandarin, sweet fruit - malt, dry. 330ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Intense, citrusy fruity, bitter hoppy aroma, notes of pineapple, grapefruit, blood orange. Taste is bitter and citrusy fruity hoppy, notes of pineapple, grapefruit, hints of mandarine, sweet-ish pale malty basis, minimally mineral and papery overtones; full body, soft palate. Excellent!

Schön bernsteinfarben, stabiler Schaum. Inder Nase angenehm weich, fruchtig, Mandarine, nicht zu aggressiv. Im Trunk bitter, wenig Süße, trocken, alkoholisch. Im Abgang matt, leider kommt hier insgesamt die Mandarine zu kurz, dafür spielt sich der Alkohol doch ein wenig sehr in den Vordergrund.

Floral, sweetish bread & dried orange peel nose; Taste is bitter floral, iron, sweetish mandarin, touch marmalade, touch malty. Crips & iron-like body. Pretty decent & nice but not on par with the stellar Polaris version.

Thanks to bartlebier! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ BBF 2014. BBF 01.01.2015. Hazy orange, little white head. Fruity floral / herbal hoppy in an unusual way, lots of hop, orange, field of wild plants,… Taste is light strawberry malt upfront leading into floral & hay hops, quite a unique profile, light hoppy mint,… Nice body. I am quite impressed here to be honest. Things are sure changing in DE but my impressions are formulated by probably unusual & rarer beers that were transported by people living there, hoping to showcase their take on USA styles.

Clear dark orange beer, creamy off-white to yellow head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, malty, bit fruity, some mango, sugary, little soapy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, bit sourish, bitter, grassy touch, little malty, citrus. Aftertaste: bit grassy, bitter, herbal, sourish, very dry, bitter, medicinal, some marzipan. Not as fruity as I was hoping for...

Clear amber to dark orange beer, creamy off-white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, fruity, more caramel, bit sweet, little funky. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: fruity start, some caramel, little sweet, passion fruits, lots of sweet ripe mango, malty. Aftertaste: citrus, very fruity, sweet, bit sugary, some bitter touch, red fruits, bit of strawberry jam.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy orange amber color with large fluffy off-white head, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of lemon, tangerine, passion fruit, pine and mild biscuit malt. Taste starts with light sweet toasted malt, follows by citric and grassy acidity with moderate bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Nice one, although missing some flavor to cope with better IPA’s...
