Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark malt, chocolate, wood, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood, dark malt, roasted, dark chocolate. Taster at GABS Auckland 2017. Pours black. Coffee, blackcurrant, cherry, lemon tartness. The blackcurrant and coffee blend well together which really helps bridge the coffee and sour notes. Surprisingly tasty.

Bottle, 9.2%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, liquorice, medium sweet, hop and medium bitter.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Coffee notes. Heavy bitter very nice flavor. Strong licorice, coffee and chocolate. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.
