Aus der Flasche im 2023-11 getrunken. Dieses gelb, trübe Ale zeigt schöne Graphefruitaromen im Vordergrund und im Hintergrund sind Ananas- und Mango-Aromen zu entdecken. Am Gaumen ist die Hopfenbitterkeit eher schwach, aber auch die Fruchtaromen sind nicht mehr so deutlich. Steht das Ale eine Weile bekommt das Fruchtaroma eine leichte Süße.Ein schönes Ale!

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 12 Aug 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, lemon, grass and bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus, bread, candy sugar and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced tripel. Nice one.

Can at home shared with Laura. Clear orange golden color, small white head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, softly hopy, slightly citrusy. Hmm not bad. Okayish.

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark brown colour with small, creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, slightly nutty, dark malty and minimally alcoholic aroma, hints of Brazil nut, yeasty fruity overtones, whiffs of prune. Taste is slightly roasty and nutty, dark malty, slightly alcoholic, minimally yeasty fruity, hints of Brazil nut, a touch of prune and cherry. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, scattered carbonation. Quite alcoholic, not overly complex - OK.

can. hoptimaal deluxe calendar #24 as rock city red wine B.A. Baracus pitch dark, smooth brown head. looks mean. aroma of roasted malts, tons of barrelling and with a red wine'ish port wine like note. old port wine cellar aroma. dry. finer notes of cedar wood, cigar case. flavor is barrelled imp. stout, red wine, port wine, charred wood, the bitterness in the end is extremely charred barrelly port wineish, but the flavor itself is not that hard roasted or charred woody, all the charred wood stuff is in the end, and it is very brutal. the flavor up to that point is port wineish and roasted malty and with hints of licorice and coffee, the aftertaste is flamethrower meets 100 yr old portugese port wine cellar. A great very complex very balanced yet very extreme sipper. Only Rarely does a 17% taste this refined.

33cl can (with gluten version) from Jumbo supermarket in Stein, Netherlands. F: medium, white, good retention. C: deep gold, light hazy. A: malty, citrus, bit caramel, tropical fruits. T: medium malty base, bready, some vaguely citrus, bit harsh bitterness, medium carbonation, quite average may be one of the worst beer for this style I have ever had.
