About
Daarin gaan we dan ook weer “all the way”.

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ Plus, Culemborg. Pale golden with a white head. Yeasty spicy aroma. Sweet taste with a thin sweet finish. Quite thin and watery overall, despite its stout ABV. Glutenfree and low calorie apparently doesn't equate tasty beer.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 21A - adapted: low alcoholic 0.33%). Can 33 cl - Batch L2023019 (BBF 09/2024). AROMA: medium to medium-high hop notes of pine, slight grapefruit. slight notes of plastic (HDPE). medium-low must background with a sweet character. APPEARANCE: light yellow color and clear. low white head with low retention. TASTE: initial medium-low hop flavour (pine and slight grapefruit), followed by medium must-like notes with medium-high sweetness. medium-low to low bitterness although finishes dry and at the same time with a sweet sensation. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. slight powdery sensation with faint astringency. OVERALL: a low alcoholic IPA with some distracting notes.

Can. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Sweetish, fruity grapw and stonefruit. Taste: Also sweetish, green hop (floral), lightly dank and resinous. Fruitynotes of (over)ripe green grapes and peach, melon. Moderate to over moderate bitterness, over moderate to medium sweet. Bit sticky. Bit boozy, warming mouthfeel. Over medium body, average carbonation. Ok but too sweet for me.

Can 33 cl. Pours syrupy thick, black with an orange hue and next to no head. Oily curtains in the glass. Raisiny nose, overripe fruit and oxidation. Surprisingly not very heavy, flavor notes as above paired with molasses. Dry though, not sweet as the pour hinted. Plummy and mushy. Warming finish - if it doesn't exactly feel like 16%. Almost flat. Lovely! 220323
