Wij zijn jonge ambitieuze brouwers die trots zijn op ‘onze’ stad Amersfoort. Wij brouwen gedurfde speciaalbieren die je zintuigen prikkelen. Hierbij nemen we vaak de nodige risico’s, zoals bier gerijpt op vaten. Dit bier rijpt veel langer dan gebruikelijk en de uitkomst is verbluffend. We willen de bierdrinker en onszelf blijven uitdagen. Iets wat niet lijkt te kunnen, doen we toch. Aan de andere kant hebben we veel respect voor ambacht en traditie. Daarin gaan we dan ook weer “all the way”.

Rock City Beers startte in 2014 als brouwerijhuurder. De naam van de brouwerij is een verwijzing naar de bijnaam van de stad Amersfoort: de Keistad. In 2015 werd er al ongeveer 460 hectoliter geproduceerd. In februari 2016 nam de brouwerij de licentie van Phoenix over van UDB Export. In december 2017 wordt de naam gewijzigd van Rock City Beers naar Rock City Brewing. In 2018 opent de brouwerij een brewpub in Amersfoort. Op vrijdag 2 januari 2018 werd de brouwerij officieel geopend.

330ml bottle thanks to MonsterMagnet (Euro Local Swap 1/2018). Pours hazy golden amber with a white head. Aroma is grassy, citrus, mango, malts. Taste is sweet tropical fruits, malts, citrus, orange, caramel, light bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Excellent.

Bottle. Muddy orange pour. Aroma has vegetal dank mosaic hops, pineapple, mango, oat and bready malt. Taste of juicy pineapple, oat, vegetal hop, mango, some white grape and bready malt. Bitter herbal finish. Nice juicy neipa, tasty stuff.

Bottle @ home. Very hazy orange colour with hardly any head. Smells hops, very fruity, fresh. Tastes sweet, hops, apricot, peach, slightly bitter, hint of either pine or glue. Medium body, very soft carbo. Very nice beer, but unfortunately I found an even better neipa from the Netherlands. Carbo was gone so fast too.

Bottle @ Winterbierfestival Gouda 2018. Dark brown color. Beige head. Aroma's: sweet, peardrops. Flavor is sweet, malty, pear. Medium bodied. Light moderate bitter finish.

Donkergeel bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter hoppig en ietwat kruidig met iets van ananas, mango en heel lichte rook. Goed bier!

Draft @ Foeders. Cloudy/murky deep yellow color. White head with short retention. Aroma's: lovely fruity, citrus and tropical, light resin as well. Retronasal it's herbal/dank hops, a bit resinous. Flavor is fruity, light sweet, dank. Medium bodied. Soft prickling carbonation. Long finish. Lovely NEIPA, Frontaal has a competitor!

7 3 7 3 14 Bottle at Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda ‘18. Clear brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, ripe dark fruits, caramel and light herbs. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
