500ml can from Ølbutikken in Tromsdalen. Low, disappearing, off-white head. Shiny, dark amber body. Weak smell of sweet grain. The taste is also grainy with a few hints of caramel sweetness and a momentary note of tart fruits. Mouth-filling carbonation. Very typical for this kind of Norwegian juleøl [relaxing after Christmas preparation at home in Tromsø, 22.12.2008].

Had this at the European Beer Festival, Kobenhaven 13-09-08 Cheer for FatPhil? for bringing this along. Poured classic amber with a thin white head, its ok but nothing special, quite a simple beer, some seasonal nods.

Canned@EBF2008 (Thanks to KnutAlbert, I think). Amber colour, small head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild hoppyness as well as some wood. Flavour is caramel, wood and some mild earthyness. 26.9.2008 4 3 4 3 8. Can@AIH40 (from Rema 1000, Kirkenes). Reddish amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, quite sweet toffee, some mild wood and resiny notes. Flavour is very similar in a nice balance. Quite a tasty Xmas beer actually.
