Description
Established in 1987 the Norfolk Cider Company continues an unbroken tradition in the County of Norfolk, that dates back to 1204. Previous to establishing the Norfolk Cider Company the founder Stephen Fisher worked for Gaymers & Bulmers producing cider. Today Stephen and his daughters' run the Norfolk Cider Company, pressing the apples, bottling the cider, delivering and selling the cider to local farm shops, restaurants, agricultural shows, music festival's, as well as to a few good ol'pubs!

During the summer you may see us at events such as the 'Norfolk Show' or 'East Anglian Game & Country' with our working Victorian wooden apple mill and press that we demonstrate on to show the public the equipment & techniques cider makers used many years ago!

We only use quality East Anglian orchard apples to create our drinks, we press the apples at our countryside barn and then allow for natural fermentation to commence creating our artisan traditional ciders. We use a mixture of culinary and dessert apples that creates a smooth cider that lacks astringency, almost like an apple wine and is around 7%abv.

1/10/2019. Bottle from Sir Toby's Beers, Norwich. Pours extremely pale yellow gold with no head. Aroma of semi-sweet apples, light caramel, light cinnamon and allspice, brown sugar, rubber and funky notes. Medium sweetness, light tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Light dryness to finish. Had a distinct mulled element too it too. Not at all what I was expecting, not bad overall.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a vivid pink, sour nose with some raspberry fruit and pips. Taste bears a distinctly sour edge with a bright tangy acidity. Contains a mixed berry fruit syrup and it certainly seems a confused blend, oily slick and a touch artificial tasting. The raspberry alone might have been enough.
