500ml can from Centra Colosseum. Light straw coloured body. Airy, chalk white head. Very weak aroma of fruity water. Taste of corn with offensive side notes of cardboard. More cardboard the finish. Diluted. Did not empty the can (hotel room, Oslo 19.10.2010)

330ml bottle. Nice, deep golden body with a firm white head. Aroma is strong citric hoppy, like peaches, grapefruit, pine and grassy. Flavor is very refreshing fruity and bitter with a moderate caramel malt base. As aroma there is peaches, grapefruit and pines, but also some oranges and soft tropical fruits. The malt base is not too sweet and the bitterness is firm but obvious. Taking in consideration this is a 4,7% ABV compromise beer this is really nice. This is not a complex beer, but it’s balanced and a nice thirst-quencher, cold easily by one of everyday favorite.

Medium offwhite head. Deep yellow body with carbonation. Herbal citric mango aroma with strawberry notes. Dry-sweet papery mango and citrus taste with grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dry fruity papery aftertaste. Nice and highly drinkable. (0.33l bottle from Gunnar via KnutAlbert.)

Rune’s 16 Sep 10. Boks 0,5l. Gylden på farge. Luftig skum som legger seg fort. Krydret aroma. Smaken er maltpreget men også frukt & krydder. Bra fylde. Svakt syrlig ettersmak. Et bra øl – men mer i retning av et lett juleøl enn en pilsner.

500ml bottle from Centra Colosseum. Clear, yellow-gold body under a faint white head, good amount of lacework, though. Perfumed malts to the nose. Malty taste profile along with hints of almond and a backdrop of green, tea-like hops. Dry on the swallow. Alright for a Norwegian pils. Drinking session with Finn, Tromsø 16.09.2010.

Sampled on tap at Gladmatfestivalen and Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Unfiltered and unpasteurised. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Excellent aroma and flavour dominated by American Northwestern hops (Chinook, Amarillo and Citra), perfectly balanced by the malts (pilsener and crystal). Citric and resinous notes, just the right bitterness. One of the best lagers I’ve had in a long time.

330 ml bottle (filtered and pasteurised), also sampled unpasteurised on tap, both courtesy of Lervig brewery. Deep golden colour, big to moderate white head. Very nice aroma of American hops (Chinook, Amarillo and Citra - also dry hopped), notes of orange marmalade and pine. Refreshing flavour with distinct hoppy notes throughout, citric and resinous notes, not too sweet, bitter finish. Light bodied, ideally this should have been a beer around 5.6% ABV, but then you have the Norwegian limit at 4.75% ABV for beers sold in grocery stores, making it necessary to compromise. Still, this is an enjoyable beer as it is.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of FrumptyDumpty. Pours a clear deep golden with an off-white head. Very fresh citrus accents and also grapefruit in the nose, clearly good aroma hops used. Rather light-bodied, sweet fruitiness, a whiff of metal and a good fresh hopping leaving a solid bitterness. A good, dry and refreshing APA although the metallic tang grows a little much towards the end. 270710

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is distinct hoppy, mild citrusy and grapefruity. Slight metallic flavoured. Dry hoppy and grapefruity. Bone dry yet with a fruity sweet impression. Ends dry and bitter.
