Sample at the Southern Filling Station. Pours clear orange, with a thin, beige head. Citrus, harsh resin, rye, and pine. Very bitter, with a fair malt backbone. Heavy, sticky, and very astringent. Unpleasantly bitter, and overly harsh.

8oz pour from Mickeys. Rugged thick barrel tones. Unfiltered burgundy brown body. Massive beer, but the barrel takes some dimension away from it instead of adding to it. Rich, rugged. Deep, dark, fruity notes...but even more caramel. A beast, but forgettable, a touch syrupy.

Taster from Moondog Growler in Sandy Springs. Pours a copper color, with a small, beige head. The aroma is caramel, green peppers, cilantro, and biscuit dough. Sweet, with a slight vegetal bitterness. Medium body, sticky, and thick. Overall, this is a fair beer, but lacks much complexity.

Taster at Moondog Growlers in Dunwoody. Pours hazy yellow, with a big, bubbly, white head, and lots of lacing. Strong aromas of lemons and grapefruit, with wheat, cloves, and and some light earthy hops. Sweet, with a light tartness. Medium body, acidic, and harsh. Overall, this is a very aggressive witbier; definitely not true to style, but interesting and delicious.

Bottle. From notes. This was shared by zac from Olympic. Apparently the brewers rolled through town. Loads of vanilla, caramel and bourbon. I would absolutely love to try more from these guys.

On tap at the Brick Store Pub 17th Anniversary. Pours dark, unclear, brown, with a medium, tan head and some good lacing. Overwhelming notes of rye, with some vanilla, caramel, and walnuts. The flavor is dominantly the spicy/bitter/earthy notes of rye, with some light hop bitterness. Heavy, sticky, and very clingy. Overall, if you like rye, this is definitely for you.

Sample from a cask at ACAT 2014. Pours black, with a small, bubbly, tan head. Pours black, with a small, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is caramel, chocolate and sour cherries up front, with some mild coffee and a strong note of jalapeno. Very sweet flavor, but after the first few sips, there is little else discernible, except an intense spiciness. Very heavy body, thick, sticky, and warming. This is clearly a delicious, sticky, and sweet beer, but the peppers are overpowering, washing out everything else.
