I had a tough time opening this bottle, due to the green was used. Deep dark brown color. Soft roast and a hint of whisky in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, dried fruit and soft whisky notes. This hasn’t aged too long, I guess.

Metaal, ijzer, roest, erg onaangenaam bitter, muffige moutigheid, weeïge graan, maar het metalige karakter maakt het bier onaangenaam, dnf

Bottle [from trade with bierkoning] @ home. Almost opaque dark brown color, dark red glare, full sized beige to light brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, heavy roast, somehow a light hoppy note comes through as well surprisingly and bitterness is high. Pretty much up my alley, I like it. Well bodied as well. Yeah nice beer. 8-4-8-4-17.

Van de tap in De Wildeman op 19-1-2019. Bijna zwart, mooi schuim. Zoet, maar niet te. De nasmaak is beetje vlak, zou steviger kunnen.

Bottle [from trade with RW80] @ home. Unclear opaque dark amber color, medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, mostly the winter beer in the flavor and not much bowmore. Full body though and suitable average carbonation.
