Description
Sixpoint was founded in 2004 (we like to say it was born at the dawn of civilization, though that’s a story for another time…) in the rough and tumble neighborhood of Red Hook, BKLYN. It was essentially a cult brewery — draft-only, mysterious, cryptic…
In 2010 we released our canned creations, and have been tweaking, improving, and releasing new formulations ever since. Then in May of 2017, we took our biggest step forward to date, releasing all of our ales raw and unfiltered, and simultaneously incorporating new and incredible raw materials obtained over years of sourcing.
In November 2018, Sixpoint was acquired by Artisanal Brewing Ventures.

Pretty good DIPA, with a firm bitterness on the back end balancing out the sweet notes from the El Dorados and Idaho-7s. Grapefruit, mandarin, peach, and pineapple lead to pine and a little mineral on the finish. Really can't find any fault, and the texture is nice, but also can't find anything to make this pint stand out from every other 8-9% DIPA hitting the shelves these days. Worth a drink.

Pours cloudy amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma of grapefruit and toasted biscuit. Taste has more of the pleasant biscuit note, some cheese curd, tropical notes, more grapefruit. Palate has more of that biscuit, crouton malt base, really nice fruity element that lingers on the nose.
