Description
Sixpoint was founded in 2004 (we like to say it was born at the dawn of civilization, though that’s a story for another time…) in the rough and tumble neighborhood of Red Hook, BKLYN. It was essentially a cult brewery — draft-only, mysterious, cryptic…
In 2010 we released our canned creations, and have been tweaking, improving, and releasing new formulations ever since. Then in May of 2017, we took our biggest step forward to date, releasing all of our ales raw and unfiltered, and simultaneously incorporating new and incredible raw materials obtained over years of sourcing.
In November 2018, Sixpoint was acquired by Artisanal Brewing Ventures.

Pours very hazy orange. The aroma is hop led with citrus and floral notes. The hop heavy flavors somewhat unusual. There's some citrus and resin, but also hints of coconut and I'm not sure what else. It's on the sweet side even for a hazy. As I noted in another review, that seems to be a trend with Sixpoint hazy IPAs. Personally I like more bitterness, but this is interesting.

Pours pale gold with a two finger head. The aroma has some citrus and grape but is led by dank, resinous hops. The flavor has malty sweetness, a blend of fruit, and resinous hops. Medium bodied.

Pours hazy orange with a two finger head. The aroma is of tropical fruit, resin, and malt. The flavor is of sweet malt, resin, and a little citrus. Sixpoint has taken the lower bitterness idea of hazy IPAs further than most with a number of very low IBU beers. It's too far on the sweet side for me.
