Cask at Temple Brewhouse, 16/02/24. Mahogany brown pour with a decent beige cap. Nose is mellow coffee notes, toffee, dark malts, light roast. Taste comprises toffee crisp, caramel, coffee bean, roast malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough cask stout.

Keg at Temple Brewhouse, 16/02/24. Hazed reddish orange with a faded crimson cap that retains well. Nose is tangy red berries, herb, spice, grains, balsa wood, plums. Taste comprises hedgerow, cherry skins, herb, straw, raspberry pips, prunes, soured mixed berry crumble. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering edge. Decent easy drinking sour.

(Cask at Temple Brew House, London, 17 May 2023. 4.2%) Pale golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grass, citrus and biscuits. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, grass, biscuits and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

(Cask at Temple Brew House, London, 17 May 2023. 3.8%) Reddish amber colour with frothy, tan head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, toast, apricots and orange peel. Malty, hoppy taste with toast, apricots, orange peel and a balanced citric bitterness. Light body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced bitter. Nice one.

Fra cask på Temple Brew, med Egil: uklar korngylden med svært kort skum. Besk citrus og sure sokker. Flat munnfølelse. Humlen er Wakatu. Extremely unsatisfying, especially as I enjoyed their bitter very much indeed Maybe the cask was off?
