Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are bread, malt, little hops and has a stale feel to it.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and bread. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. Thin. Not good. Really odd and not very pleasant. 170114

Draft. Pours near black with a thick beige head. Aroma has big roast, chocolate, coffee and some grassy hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Closer to a RIS than a black IPA.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin, long lasting white head. The aroma is light citrus yeast. The flavour is moderate sweet moderate bitter with a big yeast hop bitter citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap @ Kafe Belgie, medium sample. Pitch black color, medium creamy brown head. Aroma of grassy and citrussy hop mixed with loads of dark roast and coffee. Quite bitter in taste. Creamy body. Lots of roast. Balance goes a bit more towards a hoppy stout than a black IPA, but it’s on the edge. I prefer it the other way around, but the balance of a black IPA is one of the toughest things to get right. One way or another: it’s a damn tasty brew!

25 cl. glass on tap @ Kafé België, Utrecht with Ivar. Dark brown with a beige head. Hoppy chocolate aroma with some roasted malts. Full round mouthfeel and a lasting bittersweet aftertaste. A great beer in my opinion.
