Description
Gebrouwen door Vrouwen (Brewed by Women) originated as a hobby of two sisters from Amsterdam. They started brewing beer in 2013, at home in a 35 liter pan. They mastered the brewing process through trial and error. Now they know exactly how to make a fresh, sweet and tasty beer. At home they continue to experiment to keep creating new beers. The best beers are brewed in large quantities for everyone to enjoy!

33 cl. bottle shared with Hilde @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn Culemborg. Clear yellow with a white head. Sweet ginger aroma. Taste is sweet with more ginger. Finish is rather bitter, which I like. Decent but still a bit of a gimmick beer.

Bottle. Very pale clear yellow (urine) with a small white head. Aroma and taste of yeast, wheat, juniper, lemons, bubblegum and coriander. Pretty bitter. Low carbonation. Could do with a bigger body. They were going for a Gin Weizen and that‘s what they got.

Bottle at home. Hazy light yellow with white head. Wheat, coriander, doughy, light dry grassy leaves, soft grapefruit, orange peel. I don't get much lemon grass here. Almost medium sweet and bitter and very light tart. Under medium bodied with a bit dry finish. Decent beer, but it's more coriander than anything else despite the name and description.

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Pours clear orange with a lasting, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of elderflower, lychee, rambutan, mandarin flesh, honey, white bread. Taste has sweet lychee & mandarin over a honeyish maltiness, herbal-sweet elderflower in the back with faint spicy & yeasty accent. Dryish, floral hoppy finish, bit spicy, lingering perfume & (elder)flowers. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Elegant & tasty but not diehard 'crafty'.

Duidelijk gember, overheerst ietwat, maar de basis is een easy going pale ale. Licht pittig in de finish. Interessant, maar ik zie niet in waarom ik dit vaker zou willen drinken. Zelfs niet als smaakhaakje --- Beer merged from original tick of Gember Goud on 29 Apr 2020 at 17:05 - Score: 5. In de tuin uit een flesje. Troebel, bruine kleur. Weinig lichtbruin schuim. Gist en wat specerijen in de geur. Zachte smaak, niet uitgesproken. Ook de nasmaak is wat matig.
