Description
Gebrouwen door Vrouwen (Brewed by Women) originated as a hobby of two sisters from Amsterdam. They started brewing beer in 2013, at home in a 35 liter pan. They mastered the brewing process through trial and error. Now they know exactly how to make a fresh, sweet and tasty beer. At home they continue to experiment to keep creating new beers. The best beers are brewed in large quantities for everyone to enjoy!

330ml can. Cloudy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, diminishing, white head. Wheaty malty and slightly citrusy fruity aroma, hints of orange peel, orange, mineral, spicy overtones. Taste is slightly citrusy fruity with a tart-ish and zesty touch, wheaty malty with low residual sweetness, hints of orange, orange peel, a salty touch. Minimally oily, watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Light, refreshing - nice thirst quencher.

Dark blond colour with thin lacy head. Obviously floral elements and a certain candy sweetness. Nice mouthfeel. Surprisingly good.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 30A: elderflower / 25A adapted: low alcohol). Can 33 cl - Batch 15908:36 (BB: 06/25). AROMA: medium-high floral and citrusy aroma (elderflower, cherry blossom, lychees, lemon), followed by a medium-low to low neutral, bready background. APPEARANCE: pale yellow color and slightly hazy. meidum-low white head with medium retention. TASTE: initial medium elderberry, cherry blossom floral flavor, followed by low citrusy notes (lemony). medium-low bready and slightly sweet and yeast background. medium bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low to low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: the typical belgian blond ale notes are almost absent but the additions make this (low-alcohol) beer very fragrant and enjoyable.

Clear golden with floaties. Aroma is light lime and coriander with ginger ale and fruity malty base. Taste is fresh sour lime with light malty sweetness at first. Then a really powerful ginger spice is coming and annihilating any other flavour. Long spice finish. Kind of fun experiment but obviously not that great. Reminds me of a certain Vietnamese beer (rooster ginger).

Pretty solid saison actually. Clean, neat, to style. Not much “pomme” to it. Just well made light and drinkable. Wildeman ams
