Dark brown with ruby highlights and a tan head. It really is a pretty beer. Light citrus notes, a bit of pine, some sweet malts, light toasted biscuit. Medium bitter finish that’s a bit dry. Solid brew. Isn’t an amber ale pretty much a dark pale ale? Cut out the gimmicky BS, breweries.

200ml as Pumpkin Spice Latte Cream Ale 5.2 % abv, on tap at CrowBar & Bryggeri. Next to clear amber body. Filmy layer blanketing the glass. Spiced malty aroma with hints of coffee. Pumpkin, spices (cinnamon) and coffee flavours. Rather sweet finish. Something else and with some interest (Oslo 10.12.2015).

Can as ’Evo IPA’. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is a little crisp from mild fine carbonation. Mals bring a modicum of tired tasting sweetness. Modest citric peel hops, some hop sting. Touch of pine. Light finish. Quite a recessed IPA. Okay.

Thick, black pour with a dark beige head. Aroma is full of toasty malt, molasses, chocolate, booze, and light vanilla. Full, smooth mouth. Flavor chocolate, molasses, vanilla, light coffee, booze. The heat of the booze really lasts. A solid imperial stout full of booze and sweet molasses.

Fra kran på Crowbar 10 Des 15. Lett uklar. Lys appelsinfarget. Filmskum. Teppelacing. Forsiktig aprikosaroma. Smaken tørket frukt. Tørr. Litt lite variasjon - men den ga mersmak.

22 oz bottle poured. $6 bomber. Tasty! Pours a glowing orange copper with an uneven bubble head. Very aromatic, this one is. Wonderful hop presence. Flavor is a bready malt base, with a ton of citrus and orange fruit cover. Excellent hop profile. I don’t know why I’m surprised, but this beer is awesome. While the fresh hop beers are fading away for the year, I’m glad this one has stuck around. I may grab another.

Can from Jerry’s. Beautiful pour, nice fluffy head, clear caramel color. Rest is rather pedestrian, normal malty aroma and taste, a bit drab.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a smallish tan head. Nose is heavy roast and something sour… it doesn’t get any better with the taste. Something in the barrel didn’t jive right. Sour and almost burnt. Grainy and boozy.

Murky copper with a white head. Aroma is floral and citrus with malt sweetness. Flavor is similarly floral and malty. Lingering strong bitter finish. Not very complex but it is tasty.
