Description
The Ayr Brewing Company brewed it's first ales in October 2009, and in a short space of time gained numerous awards at both local and national level. As a 5 Barrel Micro Brewery we are currently producing around 60 casks of ale a week and supplying pubs throughout the UK. We are the first brewery in the area for over 80 years and operate out of The Glen Park Hotel, where you can enjoy a delicious meal and our ales on tap in the bar/restaurant.

Taste - chocolate, toffee and light liquorice. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry bitter malt finish. Overall - a decent stout/porter.

Can thanks to Anthony from Ayr brewing - a stronger and better recipe he tells me. Appearance - deep amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - cake and dried orange. Light pine. Taste - more cake and orange. Cake mixture even. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - not as bitter as expected but maybe that was a good thing.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear amber red with a thin white head. Aromas of burnt sugar, toffee, vegetables. Taste is warming sweet spice, caramel, toffee, nutmeg. Ginger is restrained, which is a blessing. Delicate hand with the spices. One of the best pumpkin beers I’ve had, which is almost the very definition of damning with faint praise.

Bottle from Glen Park Hotel, Ayr. Appearance - deep amber red with a slim but attractive head. Nose - roast and biscuit malts with definite pumpkin thing. It doesn’t have the expected spices. Taste - sweet pumpkin and roast and caramel malts, warm gentle sweet spices at the back. Nutmeg or clove? Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry balanced finish. Overall - one of the best pumpkin beers I’ve ever had.
