Sun Inn, Kelvedon - mini winter fest. Clear amber beer, good bubbly off white head. Light palate, smooth and semi dry. Start with sweet malt and then candy sweet red fruits. The back end, in start contrast, is aggressively bitter and not at all fruity. Finishes semi demi dry. A beer of two halves!

Sun Inn, Kelvedon - mini winter fest. 3.6% version. Clear pale gold beer. Little bubbly white head. Light semi dry palate, fairly fresh. Mildly bitter hops - typically English in as much as there is not too much fruit going on here other than a touch of dry orange. Finishes semi dry with more of the same. Nothing wrong with this but itโ€™s utterly standard and unremarkable.

Gravity dispense at the twelfth Twickenham Beer Festival - 18/10/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a bubbly tan head. Caramel, toffee, treacle, tobacco and a little smoke on the nose. Tastes of dark malt, toffee, nutty, light liqourice tones and some biscuit. Great feel to this mild, medium bodied, smooth but not at all thin or watery for a 3.7% beer. A great mild.

Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen, London on 14th September 2012. Slightly hazt gold with an off-white ring and film giving partial lacing. Fruity, yeasty and earthy aroma. Complex flavours in-mouth: berries, grapes, and citric grapefruit and tangerine hop notes. Finish is citric with grapefruit and the texture is very "agreeable" and mildly zingy.
