Description
Mighty Oak Brewing Company was founded by John Boyce in Brentwood in Essex in 1995 with brewing commencing in 1996. It moved to the town of Maldon in January 2001, and set up in the West Station Yard industrial area, once a major local industrial area with its own railway branch line to Witham.

The brewery makes mostly ale and exports these throughout Essex, London, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Kent. Many of the brewery's products are available to buy privately in different size plastic bladders up to keg size.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Almost clear gold beer?! Residual white head. Palate is light and dry and semi crisp. Light floralness. Mild juicy citrus. A little tang and a whisper of lime. Mild minerals. Semi dry finish. Not bad at all but not very wheat like.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear amber beer, good fluffy cream coloured head. Light palate, a little crisp with mild fine carbonation. Dry. A little candy sweets. Dried fruits, light floral notes and a hint of ester. A little red berry fruits as well. Pretty dry finish. Tasty little number but pretty dry.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild zesty and fruity notes along with some wood and tropical fruits as well. Flavour is fruity, floral, mild grass along with some herbal and malty notes.

Cask at the The Sun Inn Summer Beer Festival, Kelvedon. Hazy pale gold beer. Suddy white head. Light palate, dry. Light pale malt, dry. Floral hops with a nice balance of sweet orange and marmalade hops. Semi dry finish. In good condition and quite tasty. Bitter aftertaste.

Cask at the Craft. Clear amber beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Well balanced beer. Dry pale malt with a trace of toffee! Mild juicy citrus - a little orange marmalade. Dry finish. Okay.

Cask at the Craft. Clear pale gold beer, tidy white head. Light palate, dry. Light pale malt with a whisper of lemon - orange citrus hops and hop spice. Not bad - a bit dry.

Cask via handpump at CASK Pub & Kitchen, London on 2nd June 2012. Blonde with thin white head. Richly hoppy aroma and in-mouth. Full-on grassiness and delicate grapefruit. Fruity end with increasing bitterness. Engaging texture. Loved it.

Cask at CPK, London. Pours clear amber with a fine, foamy head. Toasty bread nose with some semi-ripe fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with some dry bread, light berries, grapes, toast, light leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild dry finish with some dry toast, wood, light semi-dark fruits. Very standard but quite nice.

On tap somewhere! Clear gold beer. Light semi dry palate, Good fruity hops. Citrus orange and lemon. A touch of grapefruit bitterness. Finishes dry. Bitter grapefruit aftertaste. Decent.
