Untappd Land 136. Hadn’t checked the rating before indeed, it doesn’t suck. 😝 Solid west coast ipa. Nice surprise! Cheers Fredrik W.

The standard lager from this offshore financial paradise in the Caribbean, produced since 2007 in allegedly stark competition with Heineken, which is the most popular beer of the islands (not a very promising thought, clearly). Thanks to tderoeck for the sample. Seems to produce a thin snow white head when fresh - but this sample had no more head at all; very pale brass-coloured robe rather than gold, with rosy tinge. Aroma of dried southernwood (oddly), old tarragon, spiced crackers, iron, rubber, breakfast cereals. Sweetish, almost pear-like onset, apple peel touch (probably just oxidation); slightly sourish graininess with a vague chalky accent, very thin cereally middle ending with something herbal, a bit wry, but certainly not from hops, rather something chemical. Industrial, soulless, downright unpleasant - I think the Cayman Island residents should stick with Heineken, if they cannot afford anything better...

Sampled at Tim's place, huge thanks! Clear pale golden color, no head. Aroma is malts, hay, grains, rice. Flavor is similar, with a decent bitterness finish. Actually not that bad.

19/XII/25 - sample from a 33cl bottle, shared @ Tim’s Big Country Tick Tasting And More (home), BB: n/a (2025-1402) Thanks to Grzegorz for the trade!

Clear gold yellow beer, practically no head. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, pretty oxidized, some cardboard. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, hay, grains, cow fodder, cardboard, very oxidized, meh. Aftertaste: more of the same, oh well, a country tick is a country tick!
