Bottle at home in London -sourced from Caps and Taps. Pours hazy, dark orange with a creamy, slightly off-white head. The nose holds ripening citrus, jammy orange, lightly toasted pale malts, grains, pine, suggestions of berries. Medium sweet flavour with a pleasant wholegrain bread character, some ripening berries, more jammy citrus, oily pine bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with moderate piney resin, more wholegrain bread, more berries, very light caramel, ripe orange. This isn’t a very ’pale’ ale, although for what it is, it is enjoyable.

El Dorado, Azacca and Equinox hops. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine crispness. Mild minerals. Smooth light malts, mild creamy sweetness. Peppy orange and tangerine. Mild spice. Good pine. Little juicy mango. Light crisp finish. Orange peel and pine linger on. Comes together very well indeed, very drinkable.

Keg at Brewdog Shoreditch. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is nice fruit bouquet, opal fruits, melon and pear, orange rind. Flavour is composed of of si sweet Base malts, orange and tropical fruits hop, slightly raw bready grains. Palate is semi sweet, crisp highish carbonation. Lingering drying grainy finish.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 21/04/17. Light haze on a golden orange pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is mango, orange pith, pine, toasted malts, soft bread, apricot. Taste comprises mango, light grpaefruit, mineral bite, soft bread, apricot, citric tinged straw, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Decent IPA.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 21/04/17. Faint pink with a modest off white cap. Nose is tarte berries, citric tinged straw, light balsa wood, spice, bready pangs. Taste comprises citric sherbets, zingy raspberry, sharp berry fruit, damp hay, lightest of brushes with funk, green berry tangle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok simple sour.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from the London Beer Lab. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a foamy, mostly white head. The aroma has a somewhat grainy character, orange rind, wheat flakes. A little melon. Medium sweet sweet flavour with further, lightly toasted biscuits, semi-ripe citrus, mild rindy bitterness, nips of pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, more biscuits and grains, low bitterness, some restrained citrusy hops. Not much Belgian yeast expression, for what it’s worth. But overall, it’s quite an enjoyable beer.

Tap. Tasted on the 13/05/2017 at Taphouse (Copenhagen). Cloudy golden colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, malt, straw, yeast and wheat. Taste is almost the same with a medium sweet and grainy finish. Light hoppy finish. Easy drinking and refreshing. Next one please!

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the London Beer Lab. Pours lightly hazy pink with a small, creamy white head. Inviting aroma, with pleasant fresh and seedy raspberry, a little lemon. Light sweet flavour with moderate and cleansing acidity, further fresh raspberry, lemony tartness, a little crispy wheat. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, with further restrained yet cleansing acidity, more fresh, somewhat raspberry cut through with a nice lemony bite, all underscored with a light wheaty sweetness. This stuff is massively drinkable.
