Description
Owned and ran by father and son, Chris and Marc Lilley. Our Cidery is based in the heart of Somerset, England. Since starting the business in 2007, Chris and Marc Lilley still have a very active role within the business where they share their cider knowledge with the team and head all current development of new and old ciders alike. They are passionate about creating modern English cider pushing beyond traditional styles by incorporating only the most delicious fruit and ingredients to make delightful, memorable cider.

4/9/2020. From BIAB at the Fat Cat, Ipswich. Pours hazy pale amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of moderately sweet apples, tannins, wood, barnyard, funk, light caramel. Moderate sweetness and tartness. Medium body, low carbonation. Nice semi-tart funky drying finish. Quite enjoyed this.

23/8/2020. From BIAB at the Fat Cat, Ipswich. 6.8%. Pours clear pale gold with no head. Aroma of sweet stewed pears, light brown sugar, touch of toffee. Medium plus sweetness and light tart edge. Moderate body, sweet sticky texture, low carbonation.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark brown amber colour, short-lived biege foam head and aroma of cola. Taste is cola, sweetish, caramel, with hint of apple sauce. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, sweet cola finish. OK if you like cola, not much apple evident.

Cask at the Waggon & Horses, Stourbridge. Pours pinky red with low carbonation. Aroma is marzipan and cherries. Taste has cherry to start with summer fruits squash on the finish.

Bag in a box at the Shovel, Lye. Pours orange bright gold with no carbonation. Aroma is meaty peach with a little vanilla. Taste peach, vanilla and a touch of yoghurt throughout, with a perfumed aftertaste.

500ml bottle. Pours light gold with low carbonation. Aroma is cheesy, eggy vanilla. Taste has cheesy apple to start with apple and vanilla on the finish. If Leffe was a cider.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 24 Nov 2019) Reddish amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of apples, blackberries and black-currant. Fruity, sweet taste with apples, blackberries and black-currant. Medium body, quite sweet. Hardly complex, but tasty, with a fresh blackberry touch. Nice one.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 21 Nov 2019) Dark reddish amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of raspberries, dark fruit and a touch of toffee. Fruity, sweet taste with raspberries, blackberries, caramel and pears. Medium body, quite sweet. On the sweet side, but with a good fruit character. Quite nice.
