Cask @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Light yellow, lively carbonation for a cask product. Gummy bear fruit aroma, the alcohol is also evident from the aroma. Full, sweet taste with a drier finish. Nice.

From box at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - Clear orange body, no head. Nose is heavy on the mangoes, bit of sweet eating apples there too. Taste is sickly sweet, lots of sugar, lots of tropical mango, with a sharp finish. Body is a bit too syrupy, but was a great quencher nonetheless.

Draught @ Bree Louise. Pours a very cloudy yellow, a touch tart with some custardy apple flavours. Not bad but had better Lilley’s ciders.

Guest cider @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Dark yellow-orange, quite cloudy. Sharp fruity aroma. ’Real scrumpy!’ says my nose. This I taste it, far too sweet for me and the lower ABV shows. It’s not bad, but not particularly distinguishable from Lilley’s other still sweet ciders (except again for the 4.5%).

Keg tap @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Clear yellow, high level of carbonation. Aroma of fruit sugars. The taste is lovely initially - unfortunately there is an almost artificial sweetener aftertaste that demotes the overall package from excellent to pretty good. Strength is deceptive.

Cash @ Rat & Ratchet, Huddersfield. Way too tart and strong tasting for me and, like Gwatkins, exactly what cider shouldn’t be. Also has a similarly sweet creamy pastry coming through. Really not into this.
