I'm being watched by a fine collection of Toby Jugs for this one, which is a session bitter with a hop-malt balance and very mild caramels. Mid to high bitterness here.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a hazy golden yellow with minimal off-white head and excellent lacing. There’s malts and oranges in the aroma, with just a hint of floral hops. In the mouth t is divided between sweet top and bitter underneath and a creamy texture. Flavour has floral hops, a mountain of citrus and grapefruit. Finish is bitter and dreadfully sticky – I needed to drink a different beer to wash my mouth out ! Reasonable enough until the dreadful finish.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly floral hops plus traces of malts and marmalade. In the mouth it is quite bitter with a creamy texture but also a little underlying sweetness. Flavour has mixed hops, oranges and lemon rind with hints of melon and spice coming through later leading to a dry and slightly sticky finish. It’s reasonable.

Gravicask, half-pint, shared with Finn. A clear warm golden body under a tiny white head leaving fragile lacing behind. Fresh smell of sappy fruits, including grapefruit scent. Soft hop fruity taste, hints of peaches and grapefruits. Piney bitter edge to the ending. Medium bodied. Pretty tasty.

Gravicask, half-pint, shared with Finn. Deep clear amber body, film-type layer, scattered lacing. Hop fruity aromas, herbal moments with citric support. Quite rich fruity flavours, moments of lemon and orange, flowed by mild leafy hop bitterness to the finish. Rounded mouthfeel, Nice.
