Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy copper with a foamy/creamy near-white head. Aroma is very hoppy, but it’s not harsh resin or citrus. Sort of mixed floral/citrus over a light, pleasant caramel backdrop. Near full bodied. Flavor is very hoppy - there’s hop burn. Still it seems floral and citrus. Amazing amount of hop here. Not even noticing the malt til I think about it. Suddenly I get light pitted fruit - apricot. Amazing. (that’s twice for that word). This finishes smoothly and hugely bitter. Extremely pleasant to drink.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 2/23/13

Aroma: The nose has citrus and floral hops with some bready malts
Appearance: It pours a hazed golden-orange with an off-white head and some sticky lace
Flavor: The taste has a citrusy sweetness and a light-medium hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has an average carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: Overall, this is an okay example of the style, but not an impressive one. The hops feel a little bit too subdued. There really just isn't enough going on here.

22oz bottle. Poured a slightly hazy deep copper color with a thick white head. Aroam was nice light pine notes, covering up a rich malt character. Flavor was a little earthy notes, touch of spice character, with notes of hop. This was really enjoyable and quite good.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 2/16/13

Aroma: The nose has some caramel malts, nutty notes, bread, and a bit of hop
Appearance: Pours a mahagony color with a small, lasting beige head and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is a bit sweet, though more bitter then the nose suggested, with hoppy finish
Palate: This one has a medium body, average-plus carbonation, a decent feel, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: This is some solid stuff overall. The aroma is a bit dull, but it really does improves from there. I was pretty surprised at how bitter this one turned out to be considering it has very little hop aroma. Doesn't seem to be exactly on style, and it has a touch too much carbonation, but it is a nice beer.

Tap at Maxs. Red-black-brown. Thin beige head, steady. Semi sweet chocolate tones, very mild, clean, fresh. A touch of underlying raisin fruity sourness, maybe not infected but a touch odd for the style..in a good way. Still a quality example of a generally cheaply made style.

Aroma: The aroma of this one is fresh NW pine, with some grass and fruity notes as well
Appearance: Pours a hazed golden-orange with a full finger of off-white froth and medium lace
Flavor: The flavor is clean and fresh pine hops, with some light sweetness and light-medium bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, it is smooth, clean, fresh, and quite drinkable, with a soft carbonation
Overall Impression:  This is a really solid pine fronted Pale Ale. It is right on, with a very nice fresh Northwestern U.S. feel to it. This is an excellent APA.

Bright copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, very fast-dying tan head and a nice orange glow. Aroma of caramel, malt, a bit of earthy hops and a little toffee sweetness. Medium-bodied; Dense, malty flavour with a lot of toffee, nut and rich woodsy flavours definitely drowning out the hop notes. Aftertaste shows a good balance of hops and malt, on line with an English Pale Ale, not a West Coast IPA, but it worked fairly well. Overall, a nice and respectable beer, but don’t go in expecting a ton of hops and a lighter malt profile, because you won’t get it here. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Pear Delicatessen in Seattle, Washington on 08-February-2013 for US$4.00 sampled a few minutes later in my hotel room here in Seattle.

Bottle @ Chad’s house, picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a dark red appearance with a tan head. Caramel, light buttery, dull hoppy, uninspired aroma. Somewhat spicy hoppy, a bit buttery, toasty malty, caramel, a bit fruity flavor. The first miss from these guys.

Bottle: Dark caramel color with a thick, creamy beige head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is ripe with citrus and florals. Nice flavor profile with citrus and floral hops, not too sweet and not to citrus-fruity. Has a little herbal presence like iced tea. Flavorful.
