Aged sample Huge yellowish head, very dense; medium carbonated, clear metallic golden beer. Spicy nose, bit dusty, peppery. Spicy, some dry spices, mainly oriental ones; retronasal aroma of dry manure. Light but slick, undercarbonated with all the CO² knocked out in the pouring. A wee bit too light... Thanks to Stef!

Keg draught from the Sun (JDW), Redhill. Mid-gold, slightly hazy but I think that’s the temperature. A touch of white head. Grain, lemon and a touch of gooseberry on the aroma. Taste is pretty boring unfortunately, sweet without engaging at all. Some light fruity notes in the finish, but all in all its just a run-of-the-mill Pilsener.

Cask by gravity on the second day at Plymouth Camra Beer Festival 2016. A bubbly white head to a near-clear amber coloured body. Spotty lacing. Modest aroma of grassy hops and mid-sweet malts. Blended taste profile of grass, orange and toffee. Mid-dry bittersweet ending. On the average level for the style (Shared with Finn 24.09.2016).

Cask at The White Hart, Tongham. 10/06/16. Very light aroma, picking up a yeasty musk and not much else. Attractive appearance - a rich chestnut with a good off-white creamy head. Medium bitter in taste - doesn’t hang around. A smooth palate. OK - but nothin special. Reminds me of a national smooth ale.
