Can. Near clear gold beer, small but tidy off white head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, smooth, sweet enough, no real creamy sweetness which I believe is correct for a West Coaster. Hops bring cooling pine and a reasonably juicy citrus, the brightness of which is offset by the trad West Coast citric peel. Light and fairly smooth finish. A clean tasting and very quaffable brew without ever threatening to be a wow beer.

Can. Near clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, whisper of grain but in a good way, doesn't feel raw, just not masked by creamy sweetness. Hops bring crisp cooling pine. A slightly marmaladey citrus with a very light touch of candy fruits and some ephemeral Nelson grape. Very mild hop spice on the fairly dry finish. Not a bad WC, pretty drinkable.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, tiny pale cream colour head that lasts precisely no time at all. Light palate, mildly dry, good superfine minerally carbonation. Fairly bright hops, bright and slightly tangy orange - mandarin with a good stone fruits backup. Whisper of modern Mosaic candy fruits. Light finish. Light and nicely hop fruity.

Malt, orange & bitter aroma.
Medium bodied, sharp & dry.
Malt, orange, resin, pine & grapefruit tastes with an extremely bitter hopped up finish.
Harsh - Love it.

Can. Just a light haze on this orange gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. A slightly thin malt base that does it's job but then gets out the way of the Strata showcase. I'm not convinced this fairly new hop has legs, hoping Burnt Mill can convince me otherwise. Light cooling pine. Yes, a little passion fruit, tangy and very slightly watery. The can says strawberry and of course, I can now taste it, albeit very ripe English strawberry that is 24 hours from being unfit to munch. The can also claims grapefruit - hmm, not at all obvious to me. Light crisp finish leaves a tangy thinnish passion fruit linger. A decent single hop showcase and certainly the beer that has done the best job I can recall of showing off the passion fruit character of this hop. Trouble is, single hop is best for this hop to me, gets a bit lost when mixing with heavy hitters. Time will tell. But, a good snapshot of this hop in 2025 and, a nice beer too boot.

Can. Just a very light haze on this burnished gold beer, good cream colour head. Light smooth palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth pale malts, a modest and slightly grainy sweetness. Orange peel hops and crisp pine, some dry and mildly bitter pith. Hint of something more exotic on the back end but, the HBC638 hops are a bit lost and, frankly wasted here. Light semi dry crisp finish leaves a mild hop spice and bitter citric peel linger. A bit too close to style for me. It's clean and reasonably drinkable and avoids the caramel malts of some west coasters but I'm never going to get excited on a fairly trad take like this.
