Can. Light haze on this deep amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light crisp palate, impressively light for the style and abv. Light smooth malts, a nice caramel and toffee streak. Good ripe fruits and dried fruits, a touch of candy before the crisp finish. Yeah, defo Belgo Dubs style, lacks the richness of the best of those but sucker punches with a lovely brightness and cleaness. With those attributes, it wanders easily into 'dangerously drinkable' territory.

Taste is rich, very roasty, dark malts, dark chocolate, coffee, toffee/caramel, liquorice, light ashy notes, strong bitterness. Medium-full body. Great stuff, one of the best trad stouts I've had in a while!

Keg draught at the Arcade Tavern, Ipswich. Black (or very very dark brown) with an uneven swirl of khaki head. Aroma of black malts, some light coffee and chocolate. Sweet taste, more coffee here, with a good bitterness wiping away the treacly character. Light body with heavy carbonation. Impressive.
