Cask, Baltic Fleet, Liverpool. Clear pissy looking light gold colour with no real head to speak of. Muted aroma with traces of biscuity malt and maybe a little sulphur. Flavour had some vague citrus notes but not much else going on. Dry lingering bitter finish. Have found the beers to be a bit hit and miss from wapping. This falls into the later category.

Cask at GBBF, Day 4. Pours black-brown with a foamy, tan head. Big mocha nose, rich roasted malts, some chocolate syrup. Nice flavor, restrained roastiness to the malts, dry roast coffee, mild milk cocoa, light ash and tobacco. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great balance on the finish, medium roast, burnt sugar, some burnt wood, mild ash, mocha. Delicious. Excellent stout.

Bottle at Baltic Fleet Liverpool. The serving suggestion is aith a slice of grapefruit which I refused but then realised after half a glass that it would have complemented the beer well. Its golden and over carbonated and slightly hazy and a thin white head. Touch of soap in the beer. Some lemon and grapefruit. Bit bizarre but it does settle down into something pretty enjoyable.
