Pours a near black from a can. Roasty unassuming nose, flavor is again dark roasted malts, a hint of dark roasted coffee, no vanilla whatsoever. Seems like a regular ass porter.

Pours a slightly hazy copper from a can. Sweet-smelling caramel has a sour edge. Flavor is thin, a light sweetness, grainy. Meh.

16 oz.can purchased at Julio's Liquors. Appearance is hazy bright yellow, thin lasting head. Aroma is oranges, saffron (yes we had the spice in the cupboard), maybe lemons. The body and texture is on the grainy side with decent amount of saffron in the finish. Pretty tasty. This should almost be a pale ale from Spain with all this saffron in this brew?!!
