Horncastle Ales is a micro brewery in Lincs. Brewing first commenced in July 2014, since then we have won three awards and been accepted into the GBBF.

# 2990; 6/2022. Earthy and biscuit aroma. Clear gold body, nice persistant head. Earthy, biscuit, hay, herbal, cardboard. Worse golden ale. Pint, hand-pulled, brewpub, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, England.

Hand-pulled pint into a plastic beaker at The Signal Box Inn, Cleethorpes on 22nd April 2022. Golden amber body, white crown of foam on top. Fruity nose with a pine twist, taste is a good blend of bittering hops and some semi-sweetening malts. Nice in the afternoon sun after a decent walk.

Cask at the strugglers Inn Lincoln. Off black colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste roasted malty and chocolate. Nice bittersweet to bitter taste. Smooth body.

30/11/2018. Cask at the Dove Winter Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours clear and very pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, flowers, grass and bitter hops. Light to moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Easy drinking, zesty bitter finish, liked it.

26/5/2018. Cask at the Lincoln CAMRA Beer Festival 2018. Pours clear amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, hop, caramel, fruit and flowers. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slightly thin texture, soft carbonation. Dry, fruity finish. Nicely drinkable session bitter.
