Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown and hazy. Tan head. Nose - malt loaf, light raisin. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied and least. Dryish roasty finish. Overall - good example of the style.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear dark brown with a thin white head. Aromas of light nuts, chocolate, faint fruit. Taste is light sweet, nutty, cocoa. Thin finish.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of light malt, light lemon. Taste is surprisingly bitter. Bitter finish, if a bit soapy.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of cereal grains and slight burnt rubber. Taste is more of the same, grassy bitter.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a dark orange to brown with an off white creamy head. Aroma is metallic, hoppy, fruity. Taste is light fruity, bready, caramel, balanced malts.

16/3/2021. Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear deep amber brown with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, brown bread, citrus, toffee, touch of spiced fruit cake. Light to moderate sweetness and towards medium bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, best I've had from From The Notebook.

8/3/2021. Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours very slightly hazy golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma of biscuit, sweet malt, flowers, honey, hint of herb and a slight spicy ginger edge. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. not exciting, but a perfectly drinkable golden ale.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a dark brown to black with a beige color head. Aroma is roasty malts, molasses, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, ashy, roasted malts.
