Cask @ Soup Kitchen, Manchester. Extremely dark brown with not much of a head. Has a rich nose, and some of this richness is in its taste but it’s texture is more noticeable - fairly smooth with a milkiness and easy drinking for its strength. There’s an underlying sweetness with the light roasted malt notes.

Gravity cask at Elysian Winter Beer Festival, Ely, 2015. Extremely dark brown, a bit of off-white head. Espresso and chocolate-covered fruit in the aroma. Gritty bittersweet taste with a sweet charcoal/latte finish. Medium body. Very nice.
