Description
We are an independent micro-brewery that started brewing in 2012. Based in the picturesque town of Dolgellau our name is inspired by the dramatic Cader Idris Mountain which overlooks the town and the beautiful Mawddach estuary here in Snowdonia, North Wales.

Brewing by hand in small quantities using traditional methods, we combine the finest ingredients with the distinctive local Welsh Water to give to give each ale its own individual flavour and aromas.

We hope you enjoy them!

500ml bottle, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 29th June 2015. Light amber body, clear and clean looking: the head a full cream coloured affair. Malty and fairly sweet with caramel notes to be found in both the aroma and taste. There is a semi-bitter bite to the flavouring and the body is deep for the alcohol level. I liked it, could easily had another bottle or two: taken with some German Peppered Salami, mixed Olives, a few salt biscuits and a spoonful of Branston Pickle: heaven on earth a spread like that with a good beer!

On gravity at the Great Welsh Beer & Cider festival, 6/6/2013. Reddish amber with a slight, off-white head. Malty brew with a touch of caramel, berry fruits and touch of spice in the finish. Good.
