Farmer Jim is a third generation cider maker from Devon. We use apples from the farm as well as neighbouring farms to make our traditional Devon Cider.

Box @ King & Castle, Kidderminster. Pours clear pale green. Light perry pear sweetness on the nose. Taste is extremely light, clean with a fruit cordial-like body, soft perry pear sweetness, perhaps a little too light though.

Sweet Cider from Farmer Jims

Box @ King & Castle, Kidderminster. Pours a clear pale gold. Aroma is indeed sweet, taste similarly sweet with an indistinct fruit cordial character, a touch light but certainly fruity sweet with some light orange notes.

Cask at the monks Inn Hemel. A clear pink red coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is medium sweet, red wine gems, blackberry cordial. Flavour is very sweet, sticky sweet, white sugars, blackberry, cordial.. Palate is very sweet, lowish carbonation.

Bag in box at the jolly judge. Pours clear reddish golden, nose is massive raspberry, Apple, sugary, taste is basically juice, strangely like Ribena.

25/1/2019. From bag in box at the 10th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours hazy pale amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of semi sweet apples and caramel. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft to flat carbonation. Dry, fairly tart finish. Pretty good.

On keg at the Blue Blazer. T Appearance - pale yellow with a light wholesome haze. Pretty still. Nose - pineapple pushing itself forward but not much passionfruit. Taste - the passion fruit comes through a bit more but still pineapple is dominant. Palate - light bodied, not too dry, not too sweet. Easy to drink. Overall - ok even if a bit of an alchopop.

Box @ Bottlecraft, Stoke. Pours pinkish-red. Good strawberry nose. Fairly sweet strawberry to taste, a little syrupy-sweet offset with some very marginal kiwi citrus moments. Ok.

Cask @ Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. No head. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sour apples, fruits, little sulphur, little tart and has a light sour finish.
