Flaskenfra Waitrose, Finchley, delt med Steven: klar dypmgylden med fint skum. Typisk engelsk aroma og smak preget av bitter (engelsk) appelsinmarmelade og litt gress. Balansert og lettdrikkelig.

500ml bottle from Waitrose, Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold with a decent sparkle. Aroma is light apple juice. Taste is lightly juicy medium dry, moderately sweet with a sticky finish. Thankfully not as sweet as the Perry. Easy drinking thirstquencher.

Bottle from the Gloucster Road Waitrose. Pours dark gold, transient white head. Fruit aroma. Light bodied. Flavor is a bit of malt and some fruit. Not bad, but I won’t be seeking it out.

2 litre bottle from the Gloucester Road Waitrose. At 6% ABV as W T F Cider Dry & Full Bodied, Oak Matured. Pours very light gold with a transient white, slight head. Aroma of golden appleskins. Med minus body. Strong carbonation. Flavor is appleskin. It’s dry and astringent, and oak is detectable. Unexpectedly decent cider.

Bottle from the Waitrose at Gloucster Road. Pours light, bright gold with a foamy/fizzy white head. Aroma of yeast, spice, herb. Med + body - likely due to the impressive carbonation. Flavor is bubble gum, anise, yeast/spice, but no identifiable fruit ester. Maybe the flavors aren’t particularly strong, but they are hard to ignore. Think there’s a phenolic aspect towards the finish. Nothing wrong here, it’s just that the flavor is a bit off the Belgian median. Works.
