Bottle. Very pale one, just a little yellow note, and clear. Quite weak aroma, with apples, yeast and some barnyard. Thereโs more flavor than aroma, with apples, yeast and some barnyard. Medium mouthfeel with some sweetness and astringency. A bit too weak cider, but balanced. (070430)

This ale poured a cloudy dark orange colour with a nice frothy off-white head. Scents include citrus, spice and some dough. First taste was a little over carbonated and a little thin.Strong hop flavour with a bitter finish. Hops continue through the palate a little too much.

Bottled from Waitrose. Mid-brown coloured with a long lasting head. This was a fairly standard wheat beer, not noticeably different from a standard hefe, with the usual taste of cloves and bananas. Not a bad drink, but not memorable either.

Waitrose Bavarian Dark Wheat Beer. A hazy toffee brown colour; large white head falls back to leave a good covering; a sweet caramel banana aroma; typical refreshing weissbier mouthfeel - slightly prickly - with wheat, clove and nutmeg flavours. Sweet aftertaste, with more caramel. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle (bb.30.09.07). Golden brown in colour. Low level foam. Light hoppy aroma. Spicy flavour offset by ripe oranges, almost like grass. Refreshing. Fizzy mouthfeel (13.01.2007).
